Balarāma Dāsa
18, Śrī Gopāla Bhavaṇa, Śrī Vṛndāvana Dhāma, Mathurā, Uttara Pradeśa, India
I was born on 23 November, 1980 in Mumbai, India. At birth my Indo-Canadian parents named me Douglas Varun Anderson. Since infancy I was exposed to the sublime atmosphere of Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava communities and temples. In 2005, I accepted dīkṣā from Śrīla Gurudeva, in the disciplic lineage of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, and received the appellation, Balarāma Dāsa. A writer by day and reader by night, my primary objective is to decipher esoteric primordial wisdom into present century exoteric code. My studies mainly focus on the doctrinal aspects of Bhakti-Yoga, as expounded by the Śaḍ Gosvāmī’s of Vṛndāvana and their disciplic descendants. I try to explore the phenomenological methods used by these connoisseurs of spiritual aesthetics (bhakti-rasa) and devout practitioners of mystic rituals (pāñcarātrāgama-vidhi) to undergo transcendental cognitive experiences. My blog aims to serve anyone who is seeking to comprehend the myriad theological perspectives of Acintya-bhedābheda tattva-siddhānta outlined in the śāstras. Currently I serve as the Curator of www.granthamandira.com and reside in Śrī Vṛndāvana dhāma the divine abode of Śrī-Śrī-Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. For PayPal use dasa.balarama@gmail.com
